Song of the day: Jonathan Kane – Pops

I’m not sure exactly how a 7-minute post-rock instrumental is meant to pay tribute to Staple Singers patriarch Roebuck “Pops” Staples, but there’s something about the halfway-to-rocking groove of this one that keeps me hooked anyway. And it’s a Periodic Table release, which means that if you track down the vinyl, it’ll be absolutely gorgeous.
